From: Richard Colton on 9 Mar 2010 16:49 Sold an item tonight and stated that I'll post to the UK only. Along comes a German bidder with two seconds to go who then wins the auction. I contact him and confirm that he is actually in Germany, and then (politely) point out that the auction was quite clear that I'd only post to the UK. He then decides to shut up and leave a neg (approx 1 hour after the end of the auction). Is there anything I can do to get the neg removed? Yes, negs left within 24 hours of the close of a listing are removable under the "malicious feedback" rule, plus in your case it should also be appealable as the bidder did not adhere to the terms of the auction. Appeal it and it should be removed.

A little trigger happy I suspect. Well his address and phone number are on his 'ME' page along with what looks like a shitload of anally retentive instructions. Let's all order him some German skips, taxis, pizzas...... shall we? ;o) By the way, just out of interest why would you not post that item to Germany? I know it's the principle of the thing (your item would not have show up on ebay.de so he must have been browsing the UK site for items which did not have shipping available to Germany) with an idiot buyer like that but would it have been easier to just add a fiver for postage and sell it to him?

I don't sell often and prefer to keep things simple. I suspect that your guess about missing out on profit may be close to the remark, but it's a moot point as the feedback has now been removed thanks to a nice short live chat session. Thanks to all for the advice. -- Unlock Your Phone's Potential www.UselessInfo.org.uk www.ThePhoneLocker.co.uk www.GSM-Solutions.co.uk |
