I'm going on a trip soon and I hated the idea of lugging along my 6
pound Toshiba A105 15.4" laptop like I've done in the past. I wanted a
"netbook" sized computer but they all seemed to be underpowered with
the single core Intel Atom processors.

The Acer Aspire AS1410-2285 that I got has a 1.2 GHz dual core
processor, 2gb ram and a 160gb hard drive.

I took pictures of the unboxing, wrote a review and did some Passmark
benchmark tests on the computer. Here's the gallery page -

I think it's a very good computer for about $400. I wish it had
bluetooth and a larger hard drive, but I can't complain that much.

This is getting way too funny. You must have missed Christmas as a kid
and wish to relive the lost moments. You should have waited on the
porch and filmed the UPS truck as it arrived. Oh, you did and simply
forgot to post it.

Give it a rest. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read what you arent interested in reading.

I wouldn't complain about a 160 GB HD. It's a netbook, not a
notebook.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
