You're right, I'm sure. I always pack carefully - a lot of my FB has references to goods being well packed. I do get irritated when I receive stuff wrapped up in newspaper and bound with sticky tape, which seems to happen more often than it should. -- BMW K1100LT Ducati 750SS Triumph Street Triple Honda CB400F Suzuki TS250 Suzuki GN250 chateaudotmurrayatidnetdotcom Nothing damages a machine more than an ignoramus with a manual, a can-do attitude and a set of cheap tools

It wasn't even marked "fragile", which is of course an invitiation [1] - as everyone knows, fragile items (particulaly ceramics and glass) are specifically exempt from Royal Mail's "standard insurance". On that occasion, I had another similar item and sent it immediately on a "refund and replace" basis. >I do get irritated when I receive stuff wrapped up in newspaper and >bound with sticky tape, which seems to happen more often than it should. Exactly so. I recently received an eBay item where the brown paper was only held on by the last tiny bit of sellotape so that the postman could tell where to deliver it. I complained to the seller, who thought that I was saying that the item wasn't worth what I paid for it. I wasn't complaining about the quality of the item, or how much I paid, just about his poor packing. -- Humbug "Photographs - do not bend" Oh, yes they do!
