From: Roger on 22 Nov 2009 10:33 B&Q are currently running a customer service survey and they offer the chance to win 1000. All you do is type in the number on the receipt. Unfortunately the company hosting the competition in America called Emphatica (which doesn't fall under the UK Data Protection Act) is hosting it on a broken server. Attempts to contact the company have been ignored by customers. So if you have got something for a bargain price and wanted to enter the competition - it doesn't really exist! B&Q have done this as a marketting ploy to get people in the stores. They can say it was a computer fault and it is outside their control ! That's the best con I have seen for a while.

Then it's strange that even Boots have used Empathica http://www.itbinternet.com/pr/26135 and Asda http://www.retailtechnologyreview.com/absolutenm/templates/retail_epos.aspx?articleid=785&zoneid=4 > B&Q have done this as a marketting ploy to get people in the stores.
