In the two cases I'm personally familiar with, there were small local ION broadcast stations, so if the cable company is required to carry all the local broadcast stations, the local ION station would be included. I'm at a loss to explain the presence of WGN in Los Angeles and San Francisco under the specified parameters, however. -Micky

They bought the licenses! Does ION really even show religious programming anymore? It seems like they've steadily moved away from it over the years to attempt to become a "normal" network, lots of reruns of network shows and movies. Right now as I'm posting it looks like they're showing the Qubo cartoon block that runs (or used to) on NBC and tonight they're showing the Adam Sandler comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" -lugnut

As someone else suggested, it is likely that they have it at a low channel position and the filter put in place to restrict non-basic channels doesn't block it. Bill |
