I have been waiting for an item for three weeks and was just starting to
get worried about where it had got too as everything caught up in the
postal strike has been long since received.

Anyway, as is often the case, just as I was about to email the seller
it drops on to my mat. Lovely jubbly.

So I look at the post mark and it was send 2nd class last Thursday.

So, went to leave feedback and the DSR for dispatch time has gone.

Humph!

This has nothing to do with the postal strike and I want justice!

I'm waiting on an item sent recorded two weeks ago. So far, the seller
has not provided me with a trace number.

So don't leave feedback just yet. Remember that you have 60 days to
leave feedback and hopefully within that time it'll all be sorted.

I've just had glowing +ve FB for an item I sent in the middle of the
strike. No, I can't work it out either.

Same here, it seems that anything posted as first class signed for is
bypassing the holdups.
Probably becuase signed for items are tracked through the system and
have targets to meet ?.

Signed For isn't tracked all the way through and doesn't have targets for
delivery times. However, if they can't provide a POD they have to compensate
you with the amount you paid for the service. It goes through the same
handling as ordinary post and in the same sacks. Special Delivery is
handled separately and is tracked all the way through. If it doesn't arrive
by its set time, they have to compensate for the service amount.
