From: nothing on 3 May 2007 04:01 It would be nice to let the people that know how easy it is to confuse web addresses example 1. www.donotcall.gov example 2 www.donotcall.gov.au Yes folks number 1 is usa and the ABC radio this morning gave out that address as being the correct one. Also wouldn't be easy is somebody did some research and realise a similar address exists and call it something different. to much to ask

Are you suggesting that anyone with a domain that isn't .gov or .com (for example) and has a name that is shared with a TLD has to come up with a new one? Hahaha.... >Yes folks number 1 is usa and the ABC radio this morning gave out that >address as being the correct one. ACMA sets up a site and a radio network hands out the wrong address? WOW!!!!! <sarcasm>How stupid can ACMA be?!</sarcasm> Simple, easy to remember (or guess), common language monikers are selected to give most people - especially fucktards like you - a chance at finding a site. (eg http://www.health.gov / http://www.health.gov.au). Indeed "Do Not Call" is, or will be, used by a number of governments including: donotcall.gov USA donotcall.gov.au Australia donotcall.gov.uk UK donotcall.gov.sg Singapore donotcall.go.th Thailand >Also wouldn't be easy is somebody did some research and realise a similar >address exists and call it something different. English, please? >to much to ask A bit like spell checking and appropriate grammar, I guess. DJ!

Until another country uses www.dontcallme.gov etc. If people can't get the right URL they can do a search rather than simply whinging about it! MrT.
