Is it possible for sellers to remove pictures from listings of closed
auctions please ?

Or are they cached by eBay in the event of any dispute?

Thank you.

Only if the seller is using self hosting.

You really think ebay would do that?

Doesn't matter anyway because I've saved
an enlargement of his listing picture which
has a distinctive backgropund same as his other
listing pictures.

He's now accusing me of switching routers but his own shot
from above shows the fault I'm complaining of.
the guide bush with only one screw present - the
seized one.

This is quite fun.

I've saved his enlarged listing piccy anyway. Its got his own distinctive
background a granite worktop and would be very hard to forge -
for the sake of a few quid at least.

Even at this late stage I can't decide whether he's a con artist
or just a very suspicious person who hasn't got a clue what
he's doing. He said his dad owned the router but then maybe
he hadn't seen his dad for 30 years.

Anyway I've sent him loads of emails explaining things - this
router had been used in a router table and could have been well
hammered for all he knows, and said I'll only read his first reply
tomorrow morning.

I've also referred him to the glowing feedback I left for the
router I bought last Nov on eBay, which he's accused me of switching
this one with.

These disputes are more fun than Usenet
