Most scrap dealers offer more money if the car still has things with high-value metal components besides the chassis/body still fitted like the engine, transmission, etc. Recycling the body and chassic is easy, but the metal is thin and doesn't actually weigh very much so there isn't a lot of $ value in scrap steel just from a cat body/chassis.
