It makes it tough to shop for DVDs at local outlets when you can order
stuff internationally (for half the local price or better - including
shipping costs) and have them delivered quickly.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon UK on Friday last week, and on Monday
afternoon the package was delivered!..... Usually these things take 8-10
working days from the UK, and add another week for US shipments (I prefer
UK R2 DVDs because they are in PAL format, the same as our local R4 ones).

All you need is a region-free DVD player to save heaps on overpriced local
releases, I can't go into a local JB any more without laughing at the
prices of things I know I can land in this country at a fraction of their
asking prices.

Region coding, a rip-off in DVDs and still a rip-off on BluRay, we will
all regret that the region-free HD-DVD format win the HD disk battle.
