What is the usual rate for movers? I might have to move 400 miles and
have stuff that would fit in less than one truck. I can't rent or
drive a truck myself.

I last moved 20 years ago and it was $70 per hour.

I suppose you have reasons for that, but is renting a trailer out of the question?

There are also the PODS people. They drop a cube at your house. You fill it.
They pick it up and drop it at the new location. You unload it. They pick
it up and take it away. They're honest about the cost up front.

I don't know what the rates are, but the Starving Students offer some surprises
you don't find out until they arrive with their truck:

1. The clock starts when they stop at your house.
2. They want cash in advance.
3. There are extra charges.
4. They are definitely not students.
5. They ARE good at moving.
