Well you'll never guess what, they turned up at 8.30 yesterday to deliver
it!! .. I was shocked to be honest but there the HDNL guy was with my
package. I honestly didn't think I'd see it. Still the seller has refused to
put a comment on the resultion screen. So I have left my first neg de
tailing my problem with the seller.

Thanks for all the help guys :) its been appreciated. Its put me a bit of
ebay for a while, but not for long as I enjoy using it and find the odd
bargain here and there :)

Would you care to explain the exact nature of your problem with the
seller, such that it deserves a negative please ?

Unless I've misunderstood why you posted.

You ordered some tyres and they hadn't arrived after "about two weeks".

After you contacted the seller, according to the courier an attempt was made
at delivery 8 days earlier. So they'd in fact been delivered within 6 days,
at the latest.

You subsequently claimed I notice that you were in at the time. Which is somewhat
strange, given you had to make special arrangements for a subsequent evening
delivery

At this point the sensible course was for you to arrange a suitable time
for re-delivery with the Courier. As only you, and you alone, would know
what would be the most suitable time for this.

And yet rather than do this you chose to contact the seller instead.
Expecting him to do what exactly ?

Implicit through this whole saga has been the belief on your part that
the seller is conspiring with the courier to steal your money.
When in fact to most other people there are no grounds for this
belief at all. Now you've been proved wrong - and all that happened
was a hitch with the delivery you're only response - rather than admit
you were wrong is to leave spiteful, vindictive and totally
unwarrented negative feedback for the seller.

The longer the better hopefully.

With buyers like you around leaving negs for honest sellers, for no real reason
at all, it must have the real thieves and con-artists laughing their heads off.

With sellers like you around who think it's acceptable to ignore emails and
requests for help,
there's no wonder why there are people like him around.

By the way that you have worded that reply coupled with the fact that this is
your first post here,, I'd hazard a guess that you are the seller concerned
here.

If that is the case you obviously haven't read the thread correctly but as
stated by the OP you don't read massages very well anyway.

I'm both a buyer and seller on ebay.

As a seller, had I acted like you in this case I'd deserve a neg.

As a buyer, I'd be dishing out a neg for the same reasons as stated by the OP.

Matthew, what is his ebay ID, I'd like to avoid him *and* add him to my BBL.

Presumably because you didn't offer the seller any help or guidance in the use
of a telephone. Which would have enabled him to phone the courier depot and
arrange for re-delivery at a time to suit his convenience.

So that every time you're out when a parcel is delivered, rather than contact the
courier to arrange for re-delivery or collection, you too contact the seller
instead do you ? Expecting the seller to do what exactly ?
