A bit more detail: set the name on your bank account as the business name until you have verified the bank account (which, for a Business Account, includes a printed direct debit returned to Paypal by post, rather than setting one up on-line); then, and only then, change the account name to your "trading as" name. I've just gone through this process for a client. It's slow and cumbersome, but if you're patient it does all work. -- Molly Mockford Nature loves variety. Unfortunately, society hates it. I am a private seller with a paypal business account (forced upgrade). I don't have a business bank account, only a personal one. I also didn't have to send off a direct debit form as everything was done online. It might be different for business sellers. All the OP has to do is put his name as the business name for the paypal account.

I have never had any request from Paypal to set up a direct debit or anything like it. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: news(a)netfront.net ---

It isn't any different for business sellers. I've been a business seller for a good few years and have not needed to specify a business bank account. Paypal have no way of knowing if the account details you put is business or personal. -- Conor I'm not prejudiced. I hate everyone equally. |
