From: Samantha Booth on 28 Aug 2008 12:33 I am looking for a personal DVD player to take into hospital with me so i can watch my own DVD's. Does anyone know of any good makes, or ones to avoid or any deals going on please. Thanks Sam

One thing to check on - does the hospital allow you to plug in untested devices (i.e. not PAT tested) - many places won't for safety reasons. My wife got a bog-standard 7" durabrand from Asda a couple of years ago for about £70, and she loves it - a laptop might be more versatile but will be heavier to move about, especially if you're sore through surgery etc.
