Hi. I am selling a vehicle accessory and I've had an enquiry as to postage
to send to Portugal. Are there any pitfalls in anyone's experience - esp in
relation to requiring a signature the other end?

Yes. The only items I have ever lost have been to Portugal or Spain via Royal
Mail.

Use a courier.
