Any clues? I bought a car, seller responds to emails, and seems sane.
But.
My problem lies with ebay.

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/motors/services/7dayinsurance/ says near the
bottom that you have to have your email notifications set to HTML.

My email notification is set to HTML, but for some reason they are
sending them in text.

So, I have no number to phone Norwich union on, and no reference
number.
Any thoughts?

Can anyone give me the dedicated phone number of Norwich Union
'Driveaway'?
Assuming ebay don't get back to me soon...

0800 404 6940 and quote eBay.

Steel yourself for a chat with a call center in India. Have all your
details ready. Keep trying!
Took me about 20 phone calls, but they did in the end give me 7 days
free insurance.

"But for some reason they are sending them in text".
There is no html.
At all.
It isn't a multipart/alternative message. Just text.

Thanks.

On a related note, ebay employs monkeys.

I got a response back from my question referring to terms and
conditions for the US equivalent, and that why I couldn't claim was
that I was outside the US.

Monday 1st May is an Indian Bank Holiday - may be worth trying to ring
that day and hope you get routed to the UK instead, although given we
get called at 8-9pm and they are 4.5 hours ahead of us, they will
probably be working that day anyway
