Is anyone tracking any Specials that are out for delivery today?
Usually RM website says "we have received your item and expect to
deliver it by ..". One item I've posted, and an amazon item I paid
extra to ensure Christmas delivery just both say "Special Delivery™
Next Day items are first tracked when they have reached our mail centre.
This may be late in the evening on the day the item was sent."

I sent a Special Delivery yesterday and online tracking says
"Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery. We can
confirm that your item left the delivery office this morning and should
arrive shortly if it hasn't been delivered already."

Hope your postie is better than mine.

I've had special deliveries thrown over the back gate, placed in a
rubbish bin, pushed thru the letterbox (all without being signed for,
obviousely). The one which does take the biscuit was one which I
received late one evening where they refused to allow me to sign for &
when I queried the PO I apparently signed for it around 7 hours before
I actually got it.

Best of luck (still waiting for goods which were posted 10 days ago)

I'm just wondering how many sellers will be negged by buyers for non-
or late delivery because they bought something on Christmas Eve and it
took a week to arrive? Come to that, I wonder how much stuff will just
go missing anyway.....[1]

Reminds me: must stick those Honda reflectors up[2].

[1] Straw poll - how much stuff has genuinely gone missing once you've
posted it? In my case, zilch, which rather restores one's faith in the
PO.

[2] Odd little item: orange side reflectors for one of my old
classics. On the 'unobtainable new' list, and seriously in the want.
Used pairs go for £30-40. Some bod had some NOS ones, still sealed in
the wrapping, with a BIN of £29.99, and I caught 'em. I actually don't
think he realised how valuable they are. So they've gone straight onto
the bike (which is a kind of rolling restoration project over many
years) and the old ones are going on eBay. It'll be interesting to see
if they fetch more than the new ones :-)

So what exactly have you done about that ?
