From: Lenona on 3 Dec 2009 15:33 Recently, I heard a newscaster quote an anonymous female shopper as complaining that she'd been shopping in thrift stores all her life, but the prices were suddenly going up, apparently, because more and more people are using them these days. Has anyone seen evidence of that? Lenona.

Nope, and one of my neighbours is involved in running one, and they havent either.

I'd agree. Part of it has been the disappearance of the better/cheaper thriftshops here.
