Oh, I wonder why.

There was a bit in the Telegraph about their policy yesterday. I'll see if I
can find it.

I think you've been "lucky". The policy is an online viewable signature on
delivery.

As the seller, it isn't 'lucky' at all. Buyer had the refund before I
got the goods back.

The policy is that there's independently verifiable evidence i.e a website
run by a reputable courier showing the tracking number given by the sender
when the item is sent and showing the item was "delivered" either to that
address, a neighbour or a local Post Office. That's when the delivery ceases.
After that its "collected"/Geddit ?

I should of course have added local Sorting Offices. Dunno about Courier
Depots as maybe different couriers have differnt rules some of which are
unacceptable to Paypal.
I chose not to use Recorded Delivery which would have been 4 cheaper because I sent
2 letters Recorded Delivery around Christmas as - both arrived but one of
which is supposed to be still at the PO where it was sent,

AG190297962GB
(Humphreys creams his pants again)

while the postie is still delivering the other one two months later
AG071421205GB

So neither are proof of delivery.
I was thinking of maybe suing for compo as it cost me a few bob in phone
calls and wasted time listening to muzak to make sure they'd
been delivered on time.
