So whats the point in publishing that???.... so, i live in Ireland. I
run legitimate businesses both here and in the UK.. what's your
problem? I am only trying to pass on useful information for people in
the UK to use.

So I take it you have not heard of illegal spamming then. It is not allowed,
it is not liked and it is not wanted.

That is the problem.

Since when did "legitimate" businesses need to promote
themselves on usenet?

You should have waited until your site was discovered or at
least used proper advertising through google or banner ads on
other websites, by doing this all you're doing is letting
everyone know your a spammer, and no one likes a spammer.

I think that's a bit unfair... he's publicising a site where discount
codes etc are available, not actual goods for sale. OK , a grey area,
but at least he did it openly and honestly, rather than the usual
"hey-I've-just-found-this-great-site" route which does get right up my nose.
