From: Terry D on 4 May 2007 17:01 Has anyone received a letter titled 'Unclaimed Prize Register', PO Box 107, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR9 9YP, offering various freebies, including a cheque for 20,000, a plasma TV, a Sony digital camcorder etc etc. Out of interest, I sent a claim by letter as the phone option was 1.50 per minute with a maximum time of 6 minutes, thus 9. I have now received a claim code for a digital camera, requesting a payment of 6.50, stating 'do not send payment at this time'. I realise that this is some sort of scam, but how does it work. Any digital camera must be worth 6.50. Terry D.

As someone else said in this topic, if it's a prize you've won, why do you have to pay anything for it. Everyone sending my letter probably gets offered the same thing, and you can best the organisers have paid considerably less than 6.50 for the cameras. Au Res., Paul
