Hi

I sent something via First Class Recorded delivery on the 6th December, the
track and trace facility states...

"Your item is being processed but we have not received confirmation of
delivery."

What the hell does that mean? Could the post office come up with a more less
helpful status description?

Am I to assume that yet again I fall into the 1-2% or people whose first
class post is not delivered the following day or could they be fudging the
figures...?

Likely that the item was delivered and the postman didn't bother to get
a signature for. Happens to me all the time, both sending and
receiving.

If that is the case, will the status ever change to delivered?

Thanks

Even at normal times it takes about a week for Recorded details to reach the
database. A Chritmas time.......................

Yeah, but if the status never changes you won't know it's been delivered

I had to send my tax return in once. Sent it Special Delivery so it
should get there the next day. If it was, the consequential loss
insurance would have covered the 100 fine
