Google's usenet been free for eight years.
I have been very disappointed in the downgrade of
the reader interface introduced in January.

Google has an NNTP server now? Only masochists read news on the web.

I have been using google for a couple years since my ISP took away
usenet access. When Google got worse, I started complaining again, and
they replied a couple times, insisted I needed to upgrade to dsl, and
refused to answer if I could access it with cable since my roomate had
that. I ended up tapping into the comcast and using the comcast server
for newsgroups. I can use Agent again, and i am much happier.
